Stockton City Learning Centre

Video-conferencing is a very exciting way of using the power of ICT to make lessons really come alive. Imagine your Y9 history students talking face to face with a WW1 soldier and asking him questions about life at the front and going over the top. Be astounded as you ask astronauts questions directly as they sit in a sub under the Florida Atlantic. How about talking French or German to real native speaking kids of your kids' own age? Sehr gut or tres bien, I think you will agree. If you're studying citizenship then what could be more exciting than discussing your life with someone from a totally alien culture? You don't even need to work on the targeted NC stuff. Why not bring your kids across to discuss just about anything with just about anyone, just about anywhere.

We are able to offer video conferencing AT NO COST to schools. We will pay all the connection charges. You supply the kids and the interest and topic and we'll do the rest. You don't even have to find the links. Just give us your idea and we'll try to find a suitable link for you.

Talking about links, why not try these to be going on with. Remember, if it's of interest and you want to try it then let us know.
